Indemnity (A Poem)

Perfection is not a reflection Of reality
As I wait in your line of lauders
To be your one and only
Overlooked
Beckoned only once stepped aside
Your kingdom torn asunder
As if I mean that much
Guilt lying only in wake
Long after the rubble cleared
Friction is not a vindictive slight
This is my indemnity
